Oldfield Cottage
Nestling in the Pennine hills, with panoramic views over Last of The Summer Wine country, Oldfield is the idyllic setting for a family holiday, somewhere to wind down and watch the world go by, or as a base for the local art and folk festivals.
Oldfield Cottage is a grade two listed building with exposed beams and mullioned weaver's windows, and has been renovated to retain it's two hundred year old charm. You will be spoilt for choice with country walks starting on your doorstep and the local pub a short stroll away. The hamlet also offers a small playground, and stunning Pennine views associated with the local artist Ashley Jackson.
Nearby is the quiet town of Holmfirth made famous by Nora, Compo and Cleggie in Last of the Summer Wine; follow in their foot steps down the cobbled streets and enjoy a cup of tea in Sid's Café, or visit one of the many local craft shops.
